Special-purpose machine construction encompasses the planning, development, design, and manufacturing of customized machines and systems specifically tailored to the requirements of laser material processing (e.g., laser drilling, cutting, marking, and welding). This involves considering process requirements, laser sources, conveying and unloading systems, safety, cooling, and automation to achieve high productivity and precision.
What steps does a typical development process include?
Typically, we begin with a requirements analysis and feasibility study involving all project stakeholders. This is followed by a concept and feasibility assessment, and based on this, a preliminary design and detailed engineering (mechanics, electrical systems, control systems). Based on the results of this work, we select the appropriate radiation source and the necessary system technology for you, handle the integration of automation if required, and develop a safety concept in accordance with all relevant standards. This is followed by prototype construction, testing, optimization, validation, qualification, and documentation. Naturally, we also take care of the on-site installation of your new machine.
