Description of the event
The use of laser technology in industrial and research environments requires a range of safety measures. Companies and institutes that use lasers of classes 3R, 3B, or 4 must, according to Section 5 Paragraph 2 of the German Ordinance on Occupational Safety and Health for Artificial Optical Radiation (OStrV), appoint at least one employee in writing as a laser safety officer. This course meets the requirements for general training as a laser safety officer for technical laser applications as formulated in the Technical Rules for Laser Radiation (TROS Laserstrahlung).
The course provides you with the specialist knowledge required to fulfill your tasks as a laser safety officer in accordance with § 5 of the OStrV occupational safety and health regulation.
